It is for visitors who want to try riding in nature, feel the quiet rhythm of a horse beneath them and experience the northern landscape from horseback in a gentle, guided way.

The experience begins at Ronivaara Farm by meeting your horse. You receive clear safety instructions, help with mounting if needed and calm guidance before heading out. The start is unhurried, giving you time to get used to the horse, the saddle and the simple basics of being with a horse.

The ride continues from the farmyard towards trails, forest or fields, depending on the day’s conditions. The pace is kept peaceful, and the ride is adapted to the group’s abilities, the route and the horses’ wellbeing. The value of the experience is in the calm movement, the presence of the Finnhorse and the feeling of northern nature coming close from the saddle.

The Finnhorse makes this ride special. It is Finland’s native horse breed, known for its versatility, steady character and long shared history with Finnish people. Ronivaara’s Finnhorses are used to moving in nature and meeting different kinds of riders. Their sure step, calm strength and reliable character make the ride approachable also for first-time guests.

Ronivaara is a real Finnhorse farm where the horses’ wellbeing is the foundation of every experience. The ride is guided professionally and with the horses’ wellbeing first, so that your first moments on a Finnhorse can feel clear, calm and memorable.

An Easy Way to Experience Nature on Horseback

This programme is a good choice when you want a peaceful riding experience in nature without needing much previous riding experience.
