The programme is suitable for riders who can control a horse well in trot and are able to ride outdoors in natural terrain.

The experience begins at Ronivaara Farm, where you meet your horse before heading out. We go through the safety instructions, help with mounting if needed and prepare for the ride calmly. From the farm, your local guide leads the group onto the route, with the riders’ level and the horses’ wellbeing guiding the way.

The route is chosen according to the day’s conditions and may follow private woodland routes, trails or fields. The value of this experience is in riding a Finnhorse through real terrain: feeling the horse’s sure step, strength and calm working mind as the route changes underfoot.

The Finnhorse is at the heart of this ride. It is Finland’s native horse breed, known for its versatility, steady character and long shared history with Finnish people. On the trail, the Finnhorse’s sure-footed movement, strength and steady character become part of the experience as the terrain changes underfoot. a steady willingness to work with people.

The ride is guided with care and with the horses’ wellbeing first. The pace and route are adapted to the group’s riding level, the terrain and the weather conditions, so the experience remains safe, enjoyable and suitable for both riders and horses.

Trails, Fields and Finnhorses

This experience is for riders who want an active hour in the saddle and feel comfortable riding a horse outdoors in natural terrain.

Depending on the day’s conditions, Ronivaara’s trails, fields and private woodland routes bring variety to the ride, while the Finnhorse’s sure-footed movement and the guidance of a local professional keep the experience grounded in the landscape and the horses’ wellbeing.

Good to know

<details class="wp-block-details is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow">
Who is this experience for?

This trail ride is suitable for riders who can control a horse well in trot and are able to ride outdoors in natural terrain.
