This trail ride is suitable for riders who can control a horse well in trot and are able to ride outdoors in natural terrain. The programme is designed for guests with previous riding experience who want to ride a Finnhorse on Ronivaara’s routes.

The programme takes riders out with Ronivaara’s Finnhorses onto trails, fields or private woodland routes, depending on the day’s conditions.

Choose sturdy shoes and clothing suitable for a stable and outdoor riding environment. In winter, warm layers, gloves, a hat and proper outdoor footwear are important. The warmth of the stable and indoor spaces completes the experience, while the trail ride takes place as part of a real northern nature and horse farm environment.

The route and pace are adapted to the group’s riding level, terrain, weather conditions and horse welfare.

What equipment is provided?
A riding helmet is provided. A high-visibility vest or safety vest is available if needed. Changing and social facilities are available at the farm.

What should I wear?
Dress according to the weather. Wear long trousers, a long-sleeved shirt and sturdy shoes, such as hiking boots or rubber boots. Avoid loose clothing, scarves and backpacks.
