An evening trail ride with Finnhorses into the quiet northern landscape. Soft evening light, seasonal colours and the calm atmosphere of Ronivaara Farm create a peaceful riding experience in nature.

Let the evening light, quiet landscape and steady Finnhorse steps take you from Ronivaara Farm into northern nature.

Into the Evening Light on Horseback

Ronivaara’s evening trail ride takes you into northern nature as the day begins to quiet down and the light softens. The calm farmyard, the steady steps of the Finnhorse and the changing season create the atmosphere of the ride already before departure. This is a peaceful trail experience for guests who want to enjoy nature from horseback with clear guidance and an unhurried evening mood.

The experience begins at Ronivaara Farm by meeting your horse. Before heading out, you receive a safety briefing, help with mounting if needed and initial guidance in the riding arena. The ride then continues from the farmyard towards forest, private routes and hill landscapes with your professional local guide.

The pace is kept calm, and the ride is based on the group’s abilities, the route, the conditions and the horses’ wellbeing. The heart of the experience is the evening atmosphere: the horse’s steps, the quieting landscape and the feeling of northern nature close around you from the saddle.

Each season gives the evening ride a different character. Summer brings long northern light, autumn adds warm ruska colours, and winter brings blue-hour stillness, snow and quiet air. On clear winter evenings, moonlight, stars or northern lights may become part of the atmosphere, although natural phenomena can never be guaranteed.

The ride is carried out with the horses’ wellbeing first. Ronivaara’s Finnhorses are calm, strong and reliable horses, used to moving in nature and meeting different kinds of riders.

When the Evening Changes the Ride

This experience is for guests who want a calm moment in nature at the end of the day. It is not just a daytime trail ride at a different hour — the evening light, the quieting landscape and the changing season give the ride its own character.

At Ronivaara, the evening trail ride is guided calmly and professionally, with the horses’ wellbeing first. It is well suited to less experienced riders, and also to more experienced riders who are looking for a peaceful nature experience rather than a fast or demanding ride.
